Cheers Foundation is committed to providing sustainable solutions to the unemployed rural women living in villages.
The Foundation has been offering a wide range of sewing machines along with an instructor for each batch for the women to learn the art of sewing and generate income through it. Through this unique initiative, hundreds of women from different parts of India have acquired skills that eventually attracted many customers and now they are able to earn their livelihoods with dignity.
This project was started after recognizing that economic growth will continue to be unequal until gender inequality is addressed, specifically in rural areas. It not only provides these women with a source of income, it also empowers them by teaching them an important skill set and giving them access to opportunities they would not have had otherwise.
It is encouraging to see how such projects can transform lives and help bridge the gap between gender inequalities in the rural areas through empowering women by instilling confidence and hope in them.
Our goal is to seek a society which celebrates diversity, where rights are secured, citizenship realized
