CHEERS FOUNDATION
Founder & Chairperson
Ashok Bathini's story begins in hardship. He lost his father at just seven years old, and soon after, his mother left him in the care of his grandparents. Growing up as an orphan-in-spirit, Ashok learned early what it meant to face the world without the shelter of a complete family — a wound that would one day become the seed of something extraordinary.
Despite the odds, Ashok persevered through his education and built a stable career in the corporate world. Yet prosperity alone could not silence a quiet conviction growing within him — a simple, powerful resolve: to help at least one child who shared the loneliness he once knew.
That one child became the beginning. With nothing more than a small rented space and an unshakeable belief in the dignity of every child, Ashok opened the doors of what would become the Cheers Foundation — welcoming his first boy into a home built on love, not charity.
In 2012, Ashok married Madhura Vani, who became not only his life partner but a pillar of the foundation's journey. Together they are proud parents of two daughters. When the Covid-19 pandemic brought the world to a standstill, Ashok made a defining choice — he stepped away from his corporate career entirely and has since devoted himself fully to the children in his care.
Today, 75+ children call him Daddy. That is his legacy — and it continues to grow, one child at a time.
From a single rented room to a permanent home — milestones that shaped the foundation.
Ashok opens a small rented house in Hyderabad and welcomes his first child — the beginning of a family built on love.
Word spreads quietly. Families entrust their children to Ashok, knowing they will be loved, not just sheltered.
Cheers Foundation constructs its own building at Raghavendra Society, Kaithalapur, Hyderabad — a place that truly belongs to the children.
Ashok marries Madhura Vani, who becomes a pillar of the foundation. Their family embodies warmth, togetherness, and the values Cheers stands for.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Ashok steps away from his corporate career entirely to devote his days, energy, and heart to the foundation.
One dream, one room, one promise — now a thriving family of 75+ children, raised with love and hope for the future.
Glimpses of love, laughter, learning — and a family bound not by blood, but by heart.
Everything at Cheers Foundation is rooted in values that have never changed since its founding.
Unconditional, consistent, and freely given. No child has to earn affection or prove their worth — they are loved simply because they are here.
The foundation operates like a household where relationships are deep, responsibilities are shared, and everyone looks out for one another every single day.
Every child is treated with respect, given privacy, and encouraged to develop their own identity and voice. They are not residents — they are sons and daughters.
No matter what a child has been through, their future is bright. With the right support, love, and opportunity — every child at Cheers Foundation can flourish.
